How it Works
With you every step of the way
Every client we work alongside is unique, and we tailor our approach accordingly. But there are some key steps that are common to every new home build.
Step One: Conversation
Every project starts with a conversation (or three). Bring us your thoughts and ideas, and our experienced team will work alongside you to turn them into realities. We’ll discuss your wants and needs (and help you understand the difference!), chat about budgets, and even visit you on site if necessary.
Step Two: The Plan
When it comes to plans, we’ve already done the hard work. We’ve spent decades learning about how Kiwis love to live, and our range of plans reflects that vast knowledge. Once you find a range, and a design, you like, we’ll help you refine your plan to suit your needs. The outcome will be a site plan, a floor plan and a set of elevations for your new home.
Step Three: Agreements
We place a lot of emphasis on transparency; on making sure that everyone involved is kept informed at every stage of your project. That’s why we use a Master Builder standard contract. It ensures everyone is on the same page, detailing everything from the specifications we’ve agreed on, and informs you of both parties rights and expectations.
Step Four: Consents
We deal with councils and building authorities throughout New Zealand on a daily basis. Our team have an intimate understanding of the consent process, and will take care of every aspect on your behalf. That includes preparing and submitting full working drawings, and dealing with all associated paperwork.
Step Five: Approval
Once building consent has been granted it’s full-steam ahead! Your dedicated project manager will meet you on-site to discuss the next steps, and talk through the timeline and hand-over date.
Step Six: Build
To ensure the highest standards are met, strict quality controls are in place throughout the construction phase. Your project manager will keep your in the loop at every stage.
Step Seven: Compliance
When construction is complete we’ll arrange to meet with your local council for a final inspection. This is where the Code of Compliance Certificate is issued.
Step Eight: Move in!
On the big day, we’ll meet you at your fabulous new home. We’ll present you with your keys, and all of your warranty documentation. Of course, the relationship doesn’t end there - should you encounter any teething problems with your new home we’re never more than a phone call away.
