Q: Do I need a building consent?
A: Yes, any building structure greater than 10 square metres in New Zealand requires a building consent. However you do not need to worry as Versatile can take care of the entire consent process for you.


Q: Can Versatile Buildings build my building for me?
A: Yes, Versatile can handle the entire building process for you from start to finish, from handling council consents through to clearing your site through to constructing your building giving you a hassle free end result you will be delighted with.


Q: What type of guarantee does Versatile Buildings offer?
A: Versatile stands by their product by offering various guarantees across our product range. Garages come with a 25 year structural guarantee as well as a 5 year workmanship and materials Guarantee which applies when Versatile build your building for you, click here to find out more.


Q: Can I alter my roof pitch to match home?
A: Yes, your garage will come with a standard roof pitch of 150 , however you can upgrade to a 200, 250 or 300 roof pitch to match your home if you choose.


Q: Can I increase the height of my garage?
A: Yes your garage will come with a standard stud height of 2.1 metres, however if you have a boat or SUV then you can increase your stud height to 2.4, 2.7 or 3 metres high. Please note this is also a good optional upgrade if you are planning to add value to your home for future sale.


Q: What garage door options are there for me?
A: Your garage will come standard with a tilt door, however there are various upgrade options. You can upgrade your garage door to a sectional door, or a roller door, and also select to have a garage door opener on any of these doors, click here to find out more.

Q: I’ve neither owned or built a home before. Where do I start?
A: Contact your local Versatile sales consultant who can explain the entire process. When you build with Versatile we make it easy because we handle everything from consents to completion.


Q: What do you offer?
A: We offer 40 different floorplans including two, three and four bedroom homes, some with upgrades. The first step is knowing what size you want. Then you simply choose your design to suit you.


Q: How do I organise all the official documentation?
A: You don’t. We take care of everything for you, even arranging for consents with the Council.


Q: What do I do about the site I’ve chosen?
A: Not only can we clear and excavate your site for your new home, but we can also demolish any existing building.


Q: How do I know I’m getting good value?
A: We offer a 7 year Master Builder guarantee on all habitable buildings over $25,000*, constructed by Versatile Buildings.
