Versatile Whangarei has a small friendly team, made up of the Owners, – Ray and Sara, Sales Consultant – Alan, Construction Supervisor – Jason and Office Administrator – Kim. This is all backed up by a strong group of qualified contractors to complete the work.

Coming from a strong Project Management background we have owned our franchise since 2002 and within this time, have achieved top franchise awards for Farm Buildings in 2005 and again in 2008.

We have extensive local area knowledge and great working relationships with the relevant councils to make building easier.

We are writing to thank Versatile Whangarei for your excellent work on our garage/sleepout project at Waipu. We looked for a section on and off for three years then in 2011, after 6 months of viewing numerous different sites, we found our dream section for a holiday home retreat from Auckland.

Our next challenge was to build an interim building, until one day when we hope to build a permanent home there. We were first-time builders on a greenfields site, and on a tight budget, and we looked at several different companies before settling on Versatile, to build a garage & two-room sleepout, with water and sewerage to accommodate a future home as well. Your prompt responses to queries and willingness to quickly tailor the building to our specific needs were much appreciated.

Nevertheless, it is a big step to take to sign a build contract for six figures. We were reassured throughout the process by consistently excellent communication and opportunities to participate in all of the fine decision-making. We were well-advised regarding the best building site for the garage/sleepout, keeping in mind a site for a future home, and were kept involved with the building consent application, while Versatile Whangarei handled the detail of the application.

Despite a tight timeline, and unkind spring weather, our building was completed on schedule and on budget for our Christmas holiday. Three generations of our family have already visited and commented on the excellent workmanship and attention to detail of the final building. We have comfortably accommodated eight and have great family memories and photos of five cousins and their time together.

Versatile Whangarei has an excellent show yard with different buildings from sheds to garage/sleepouts to small homes. They look fantastic-as a potential customer, you always wonder if your finished product will be as good as these-but we found that our expectations were exceeded and we love our place at Waipu. We also appreciated great touches of workmanship along the way. Good advice on points such as where to place windows and doors for views, and for best ventilation and access also made for an optimised final product.
